Where are the animal proteins in your diets and treats sourced?

Our free range beef, free range bison, cage free chicken and fresh water trout are raised in the Mountain West and West. We strive to source every ingredient in our diets and treats from Western US states, aligning with our Montana mindset of healthy adventures.

How many cups of food are in each 12oz bag?

It's tricky to compare weight (ounces) and volume (cups) accurately, but there are approximately 9-10 cups of food in each 12oz bag of meal toppers.

Why aren’t there any synthetic vitamins in your diets?

Research has shown that vitamins produced in a lab are not as bioavailable as those derived from natural, whole foods. Montana Dog Food is formulated with only whole food ingredients that make up 100% of the nutritional requirements for your dog, which means that your dog’s body is getting the full benefit of these essential nutrients every bowl.

Can I feed Montana Dog Food to my puppy?

Yes. All our recipes are formulated to meet the nutritional needs of dogs of any age, lifestyle or breed. Feeding instructions for puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs can be found on every bag and on this site.

Is it safe to feed my dog raw food and treats?

Absolutely. Dogs’ digestive systems are designed to rapidly absorb the nutrients from raw animal protein, because that’s what their ancestors mostly ate in the wild. To ensure the food and treats we produce meet the highest nutritional and safety standards, we rigorously test every batch of product before it is released from our production facility.

What are the benefits of feeding my dog raw food?

According to the American Kennel Club, raw food advocates believe dogs consuming these diets have shinier coats, healthier skin, improved dental health, increased energy, and smaller stools.

Can I count on the quality of your soft chew supplements?

Yes. Every one of our formulas is veterinarian or PhD nutritionist reviewed and prepared at an FDA-registered facility in the United States by an NASC-approved manufacturer. Incoming ingredients are rigorously tested for purity, and all the nutritional statements on our labels are tested by a third-party lab.

What size should I buy?

If you’re not quite sure which size is right for you, refer to our size guides. They’re located underneath the available sizes for each of our products.

Can I cancel my order?

We completely get it, we change our minds too! While we wish could, once an order is placed, we are unable to alter or cancel it at this time. We hope to have a cancellation window one day in the future.

Should the item(s) not work out, make sure to exchange for a preferred style or return for a refund. As a reminder, domestic return shipping is free.

Can I place a trial order without setting up a subscription account?

Yes. Select “One-time purchase” for the items you want to buy. If that products works for your pup, then sign up for a subscription the next time you order and receive a standing discount!

How will you notify me about the status of my subscription orders?

Our team will email you when your next supply of Montana Dog Food Co. products is automatically reordered. We’ll send you a second email when that order ships.

How do I change the date my shipment is sent?

Yes! You can log in to your account (icon at top right) and update the date of your subscription.

How do I skip a scheduled delivery?
  1. Log into your account and go to SUBSCRIPTIONS.
  2. Click the name of a product to view that subscription info page.
  3. Select PAUSE to discontinue delivery for 30 days. 
  4. Go back to the Subscriptions page and repeat these steps for every product you want to pause.
  5. Later on, you can change your order back to the original plan.
How do I cancel my subscription?
  1. Log into your account and go to SUBSCRIPTIONS.
  2. Click the name of a product to view that subscription info page.
  3. Select CANCEL.
  4. For every product you wish to cancel, go back to the Subscriptions page and repeat these steps. 

If you change your mind later, go to the Shopping page and pick the products you want, selecting SUBSCRIBE & SAVE. These products will once again be delivered every month to your door.

How do I change the Montana Dog Food Co. products I’m currently being sent?
  1. Log into your account and go to SUBSCRIPTIONS.
  2. Click the name of a product you wish to cancel to view that subscription info page.
  3. Select CANCEL.
  4. Go to the Shopping page and pick the new products you want, selecting SUBSCRIBE & SAVE.
  5. Proceed to Checkout and select PLACE ORDER. These products will be added to your monthly delivery plan.
How do I edit the credit card linked to my subscription?
  1. Log into your account and navigate to PAYMENT METHODS.
  2. Select DELETE for the card you wish to edit.
  3. Select ADD PAYMENT METHOD and enter new information about your preferred credit card.
Will I be reminded before my credit card expires?

Yes. You will receive an email notification a month in advance so you can update the information about your card.

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

What is the shipping policy?

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.

Do you ship overseas?

At this time, we only ship Montana Dog Food Co products to the lower 48 US states.

How do I change my billing or shipping address?
  1. Log into your account and go to SUBSCRIPTIONS.
  2. Select EDIT ADDRESS.
  3. Select EDIT to make changes in these forms.
Can you deliver to an address other than the one on my credit card?

Yes. You can enter this information when you set up your account profile.

How do I make a return?

If you aren’t 100% satisfied with your purchase from Montana Dog Food Co., you can return any item for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
